MUMBAI: Rani Mukherjee has always been under the keen scrutiny of the media, the filmy folk and her fans. And while she has usually chosen to take the fifth, i.e. no comment stand, when questioned with anything, she recently came clean when asked to clarify a few misunderstandings.When quizzed on her relationship with Aditya Chopra, the actress told a leading daily, “I have a very special relationship with Adi. He’s a person who I absolutely admire and respect. He always had faith in me since the beginning.” The actress chose to carefully not add or mention any possible hints of a romantic link with the director.
She added, “It doesn’t bother me because I am enjoying my work. I’m in a very happy state of mind right now. My film has done well; my family is here; my friends have appreciated my work.”
And her take on working exclusively for the Yash Raj banner? “Coincidentally, all the roles I’ve done in the recent past have come from the same banner. I would’ve done those films had anyone else offered them to me too. Of course, I have a comfort factor with Yash Raj. I’ve done 12 films with them. That comfort factor lies with Dharma Productions and Red Chillies as well. You often see many actors working with only certain directors. Actors like Hrithik, Shah Rukh, and Akshay have done a lot of films with people they are close to. But they’re never questioned over their decisions.
A woman is always scrutinized for it. But it’s okay. I’m not minding the movies I am doing with Yash Raj. It doesn’t bother me what people say.”
Rani went on to claim that she would never hide her marriage if and when it happened, “When I have to get married, I am going to tell people about it. It’s ridiculous to think that I’m the kind of person who’d want to hide her marriage. I don’t come from a family like that. Just because I am an actress, I don’t have to hide my marriage.”

Preity Zinta To Host a Chat Show

MUMBAI: Preity Zinta is all set to make her television debut with a chat show titled The Preity Zinda Show for which she has been paid Rs 10 crore.
The show will go on air by mid-December. Preity will be hosting the weekly show in which she will interview celebrity guests.
A source said, “The show is called The Preity Zinda Show and she has been paid a whopping Rs 10 crore for 20 episodes. The deal was finalised last week when the channel officials met her in Los Angeles where she is currently.
Preity is quite excited about her television debut. However everything about the deal is hush hush right now and no one is allowed to talk about it.”
When she was contacted to know more, her secretary said, “No comments.”

Sherlyn Chopra Now in Bigg Boss house

Sherlyn Chopra in Bigg Boss house, MUMBAI India : After Raakhi Sawant and Payal Rohatgi it is item girl Sherlyn Chopra who will provide the oomph in the third season of reality show “Bigg Boss”, Sherlyn Ch“One reason why we were interested in getting Baba Ramdeo on board is because we got Sherlyn. So we wanted to create a Vishwamitra-Menaka kind of situation between the saint and the seductress in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. Unfortunately Baba opted out,” said a source in the channel.
Last time when Jade Goody went back home after she was diagnosed with cancer, speculations were rife that Sherlyn will take her place. But it didn’t happen.
Apart from her, Vindu Dara Singh is also expected to feature in the show, which will be hosted by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Bollywood Actor Shiney Ahuja Reaches Delhi after Bail

NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja arrived here from Mumbai Sunday morning after spending 110 days in jail for allegedly raping his domestic help. He was granted bail ThursdayThe actor, accompanied by his wife Anupam, arrived at the New Delhi domestic airport aboard a Kingfisher flight No.303 Sunday at about 11.30 a.m. Shiney’s parents were also there.
“He left for Delhi by Kingfisher flight at around 7 a.m.. He will be coming back to Mumbai for the court hearing on Oct 7,” Shiney’s lawyer Shrikant Shivade told media.
The actor was granted bail Thursday on a surety of Rs.50,000 by the Bombay High Court in the rape case and was released from the Arthur Road Jail Saturday.
Strict conditions have been imposed on the actor by Justice A.P. Deshpande, who has ordered Shiney to live outside Mumbai, but not leave India till his trial begins in a fast-track court in Mumbai.
Shiney was arrested June 14 for allegedly raping his teenaged domestic help at his Andheri (West) home. He was in custody since then.
If the charges against him are proved in court, Shiney faces a seven-year jail sentence. His wife Anupam and his lawyer have maintained that he is innocent and is being framed
